Hello All! I have been meaning to start up a blog for a long while now. Things are always so busy for me lately, I never get time to do this kind of stuff!! I was looking at our diary page of our website and noticed that all of the entries are from John. Adding diary entries directly to the website like that is a bit tedious, John is the only one with the directions (and the time!) to make those happen lately. Now that we have this blog, I am looking forward to keeping people more updated!!! This photo was taken at last year's event. Thankfully Grace is just as healthy and happy as she was last year! She is doing really well. She just started a new school, AHRC. We loved her last school, the Carman Road School- the people there were just amazing and they had alot to offer Grace. I heard today that her old teacher sent a gift home for her via her home physical therapist, I haven't seen her yet so I'm not sure what it is. Wherever Grace goes she steals the hearts of everyone she comes in contact with. These teachers she comes in contact with are such exceptional people, they are just amazing. I love to be able to share her with so many wonderful people! She went to Variety Pre-school for about 4 years and thankfully we still get to go there for a special Sunday program. When we walk Grace down the hall everyone seems to know her and says hi. She is like the mayor of Variety! Even when we go out and bring her places, people that know her from school come up and greet her - it happens all of the time. It is certainly taking a community and then some to raise this special kid!
Julia just started 4th grade. She loves her teacher and has really great classmates. She is anxiously awaiting the 5K, she may even be singing a song from "Camp Rock" for all of us that day. I can't believe how well she imitates the actress (Demi Lovado). She's a great impersonator!!!

Hello Grace, Julia, Bal and Joan. Just checkin in. The Lams had a fantastic time at the Cure for Grace fun raiser. Everthing was just great. The walk was beautiful and relaxing. The food was plenty and delicious. Beer galore, ice cream, music, Irish dnacers, and the grand finale the fire work display.. It was truly awsome. I loved seeing people I hadn't seen in 20 years and talkin story with them.

Hello SOUTH HUNTINGTON SCHOOL DISTRICT PARENTS AND STUDENTS!! We just launched our I Can do It with Grace Five-Each-Day Fruit and Vegetable program today and we are so excited that 2,800 students ages Pre-k - 5 will all be eating their five fruits and veggies this week with the help of our special game!!
Grace requires a lot of teaching to learn things and I have teachers in my house all of the time working with her. The "I Can do it! with Grace game idea came about one day when I was trying to get my other daughter to sleep in her bed. I made it into a fun game, and it worked like a charm.
I am now starting to sell programs using my games to school districts. South Huntington is the first. Please comment and let me know how you are doing with the game.
We will be having our next fundraiser in either June or September (we will get details onto this website shortly). Any child that mentions they participated in the Five-Each-Day program at our registration desdk will get a special gift that day!! Our fundraisers have lots of great activities for children and adults. We have a live band and Outback usually comes and BBQ's for free. It is a fun day to spend with your family helping a great cause and the cost is very reasonable. KIDS ARE FREE!! You get alot for your $$$ like chances to win huge prizes, great food, drinks and activities. Please check back with us soon for a date so you can mark it on your calendars!!!
